A Greenfield man was arrested Saturday after allegedly injuring two pedestrians with his car and fleeing the scene the day before, police said.

Vladimir Sinigur, 55, is charged with two counts of hit-and-run causing bodily injury, one count of hit-and-run causing property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and unlicensed operation of a vehicle engine, police said.

Greenfield police said they responded to Country Club Road, near Barton Road, Friday afternoon around 3:30 p.m., where the two pedestrians were seriously injured. They were taken to Baystate Medical Center.

Sinigur appeared in Greenfield District Court earlier this month on other motor vehicle charges. The charges, filed in September, included operating an uninsured vehicle, a civil motor vehicle offense and unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
