Greta Van Fleet to open 2022 tour with five Michigan homecoming shows

Greta Van Fleet may have migrated from Michigan, but there’s no shortage of homecoming energy as the band plots out its next round of touring.

The hard-rock band has announced its Dreams in Gold Tour, a 2022 run in support of the group’s sophomore full-length album, “The Battle at Garden’s Gate,” released in April.

The Frankenmuth-bred, Nashville-based outfit will kick off its tour with a March 10 show at Kalamazoo’s Wings Event Center, followed by dates at Grand Rapids’ DeltaPlex Arena (March 12), Saginaw’s Dow Event Center (March 13), Flint’s Dort Financial Center and — in the nearest metro Detroit date — Ypsilanti’s EMU Convocation Center (March 17).

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday via LiveNation.com. A fan presale will be held Wednesday, with venue presales scheduled for Thursday. Full details can be found here.

Rival Sons and the Velveteers have been tapped as openers.

Greta Van Fleet’s tour will then hit the Midwest and East Coast before going international, with stops in Brazil, Mexico and Europe.
