Inside the huge beauty event coming to the Trafford Center

A mammoth three day beauty event is heading to The Trafford Center – its largest inside event since 2019 – and as well as giving away goodie bags and freebies it will be encouraging diversity while also raising breast cancer awareness.

Volunteers wearing giant boob costumes are set to turn heads and visitors can walk away with a host of skin treatments, discounts, goodie bags and prizes at the event from April 29 to May 1. A powerful performance, choreographed by Creative Director Paul Swaby, will showcase a host of diverse talent named ‘The Beauty Tribe’ and will take place around the center’s Main Dome between 12 and 5pm daily at the event. The performance is aimed at encouraging self acceptance and inspiring visitors to feel confident and comfortable in “their own unique, beautiful skin.”

National breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel! will also be at the center on Saturday, April 30 to help raise breast cancer awareness with their team of volunteers called the Boobettes. The team will be delivering handouts and stickers while dressed in giant boob costumes.

To celebrate the lead-up to religious holiday Eid, the center will come alive with festivities from 6 pm-10pm on Friday, 29 and 6 pm-9pm Saturday April, 30. There will be harp music floating through the malls, henna art workshops and a performance that combines traditional instruments, music, costume and dance from the SonAash Sisters and award winning DnS Dholis.

The event will encourage self acceptance and diversity

Zoe Inman, Center Director at Trafford Center, said she was delighted to be hosting the event after the challenges of the last few years and believe it would deliver a powerful and inspiring message to customers. She said: “We are delighted to be hosting a three-day beauty extravaganza at Trafford Center this spring; an opportunity to showcase the incredible range of international beauty brands on offer at the center. Beauty Unfiltered not only highlights our beauty offering but a powerful message to inspire our customers.
