Jake Paul entered the ring at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida with the spirit of a gladiator and he needed every ounce of it to defeat the “King of Violence” Mike Perry on Saturday night.
In the sixth round, Paul’s flurry of punches sent Perry to the canvas. As the referee counted to eight and got Perry back to his feet, he stumbled as he tried to slide back to his corner. It was over.

Paul won the fight by technical knockout.
Perry showed tenacity throughout the night. Paul took him down early in the first and second rounds, but even though he was fighting with his hands on the ground, the bare-knuckle fighter withstood Paul’s punches and power shots longer than most would have hoped.
“He’s tough as nails,” Paul said of Perry.
Before the fifth round began, the ringside doctor examined Perry one last time. Paul took his time and waited for the finishing blows in the sixth round.

For Perry, it was just another step on the road to bare-knuckle glory. He is 5-0 in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and his last win came in April against Thiago Alves.
Paul improved to 10-1 in his career with his seventh professional knockout and now he must begin training physically and mentally for Mike Tyson.
Paul and Tyson were scheduled to fight Saturday night in Arlington, Texas. But a medical issue forced the postponement until November. The fight is still on to this day.
Tyson, 58, has not fought a professional fight since 2005. He has not won a professional fight since 2003.
“Mike Tyson, you’re the next big boy,” Paul said.
