It may be mid-November and only a few weeks until Christmas.

But Jenna Coleman, 35, got an autumn chic in a floral midi skirt and a burnt orange coat when she stepped out to buy takeaway coffee in London on Tuesday.

The Doctor Who star looked effortlessly stylish in her beautiful purple skirt, which she tightened up with a pair of black chunky biker boots.

To ensure she kept warm while temperatures in the capital continued to fall, Jenna wore thick black leggings under her ensemble.

She wrapped herself in a high-necked black sweater and lay down over the top with her sumptuous long-sleeved coat with ruffle edges.

To add an extra twist, Jenna carried her belongings in a crossbody bag with dog tooth print and protected her eyes with vintage shades.

Jenna recently returned to England after visiting Paris for Fashion Week in early October.

She traveled to a number of different countries over the summer after relaxing at a wellness retreat in Spain.

In August, it was revealed that Jenna would join the cast in the new series The Sandman.

She will play Johanna Constantine, great-great-grandmother of the cartoon character John Constantine, who was played by Keanu Reeves in the 2005 film Constantine.

In a blog post on Netflix’s website, show creator Neil Gaiman explained why he chose Jenna, writing: ‘I created her (Johanna) to fill the role that John Constantine previously has.

‘When we broke up the first season, when we knew we would meet Johanna in the past, we wondered what would happen if we also met a version of her in the present.

‘We tried it and the script was more bubbly, more feisty and in some ways even more fun.

‘So after writing her, we should just cast her. Jenna Coleman gave us the Johanna of our dreams – tough, ingenious, tricky, haunted and probably doomed. ‘
