A photo of Liam Payne heading to his hotel room in Argentina is believed to be the last time One Direction were seen alive before plunging to their deaths from a third-floor balcony, according to a new report.
The 31-year-old singer was caught on surveillance cameras entering an elevator at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, local channel America TV reported.
The chilling final image, released by the outlet, showed Payne wearing a white sleeveless top with her arm tattoos visible.
It was not immediately clear when the photo was taken.
The photo surfaced as medical authorities revealed the British star suffered a fractured skull and died instantly after falling from his hotel balcony.
“From what the team saw, there was apparently a skull fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death,” said Buenos Aires emergency services chief Alberto Crescenti.
“There was absolutely nothing the team could do. There was no resuscitation as he was confirmed dead. The entire body had very serious injuries.
