A street has been cordoned off after neighbours reported hearing “gunshots”. An air ambulance has landed on a plot of land in Bigdale Drive, Kirkby, following an incident near Quarryside Drive earlier this evening.
There are a number of police vehicles at the scene and witnesses have reported seeing armed officers at the scene. Merseyside Police have been contacted for further details.
