A lone London dog searches for his eternal home after spending more than 450 days in the shelter waiting for a family. The adorable 2-year-old dog, Caffrey, was found in March 2021 as a stray and thereafter transferred to the Dogs Trust from another animal welfare organization.
He is currently at the Dogs Trust shelter in west London while waiting for a family to call him. The staff who have cared for him for more than a year are incredibly happy with him and say he is a firm favorite at the center.
Despite being a large dog, the old English mastiff is very gentle and loves to cuddle on someone’s lap. He is looking for a loving home where he can get lots of love and attention.

Dogs Trust West London Rehoming Center Manager Richard Moore said: “Caffrey is a firm favorite at the center, the whole team is incredibly happy for him. Although we would miss his devotion, we would love to see him finally get a home and a family to call your own.
“He’s a very gentle guy who loves nothing more than to sit on your lap, despite his size! He’s an old English mastiff, so he’s a big boy. He loves people and would love a home where he may be the center of attention and would like to be the only dog in the home.

Caffrey needs a home where he is able to live downstairs or where the entire home is on the ground floor as he cannot walk up stairs due to his hips. He will also need his own private and secure garden. He could live with children aged 16 and over.
“Caffrey has been working really hard lately to make new dog friends, and a home where he can make some quiet gift friends after successful introductions would be perfect for him.”
