Los Angeles County opens more voting centers before Election Day

With Election Day fast approaching, Los Angeles County officials opened hundreds of additional voting centers Saturday where voters can cast early ballots in person.

The Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/Registrar has opened 526 additional centers, according to a post on its ballot for the November 5 election.

The centers are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Most wait times were less than 15 minutes, officials said.

The county’s mobile voting centers will also be circulating throughout the region through Election Day.

Voters also have the option of submitting their completed ballots by mail, as long as they are postmarked by or on November 5 and received by November 12. Mail-in ballots can also be returned to election centers or dropped off by mail. boxes.

Eligible voters who are not registered may complete conditional voter registration at a center and vote in the election.

The ballot includes a long list of statewide and local candidates and ballot measures, as well as the U.S. presidential race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

On Saturday, the mobile centers will be at the LA Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and Plaza de Cultura y Artes in downtown Los Angeles; Henry Acuna Park in Montebello; Wat Thai Los Angeles in North Hollywood; and the Paving the Way Foundation in Lancaster.

On Sunday, the centers will be stationed at Dodger Stadium, SoFi Stadium in Inglewood and again at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes.
