Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay has closed on a $ 14 million “contemporary farmhouse” in the upscale Hidden Hills section of Los Angeles, sources close to the sale confirmed.
The six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home, which sits on 1.4 acres behind guarded gates, came on the market for $ 15.5 million in January, and Mr. McVay closed last Friday for just over $ 14 million, according to public records.

With high ceilings, large windows, and extensive use of wood and natural materials throughout, the home is designed to create both an indoor / outdoor and a modern farmhouse feel.
“The farmhouse style is trending across Los Angeles, but one has to ask: What exactly does a farmhouse consist of? And how should that language be interpreted and applied to a luxury property, ”said architectural designer Jae Omar, who designed the home. “Farmhouses, at their roots, are simple, minimalist and accessible.”
“When reinterpreting the farmhouse style, I’m not looking to pile on special effects, instead, I’m looking to remove things like physical barriers and unnecessary obstructions,” Mr. Omar continued. “What’s left is quality, purity, and purpose.”
An open living room with a fireplace and a bar flows into a chef’s kitchen with bespoke cabinetry and a stone kitchen island with counter seating. The main living room also opens directly out into a covered seating and entertaining area in the backyard. The home’s outdoor space includes an infinity-edge pool with spa, an outdoor fire pit and a built-in barbecue.
Natural light flows into the double-height main entrance via skylights, which further highlights the area’s white-oak planking. A floating staircase leads to the upper level, where a primary suite includes custom walk-in closets, vaulted ceilings, a breakfast bar, a balcony overlooking the backyard, and a spacious bathroom with dual sinks, a soaking tub and steam shower, and floor -to-ceiling windows.
The home also includes a theater room, a gym, and a formal dining room with built-in wine walls. Outside, an extended motor court and private driveway lead to a four-car garage, according to the listing.
Information on the seller’s identity was not immediately available, and public records show the property last changed hands for $ 3.3 million in 2020, prior to the construction of the current home.
Mr. McVay, now 36, became the youngest head coach in modern NFL history when he was hired by the Los Angeles Rams in 2017. He led the team to a Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in February.
Tomer Friedman of Compass and Marc Shevin of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices had the listing, and did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
