A crash involving a lorry and a van on the M25 has caused disruption to rush hour traffic.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on the stretch of Britain’s main motorway in Buckinghamshire.
Latest reports indicate that the vehicles involved in the incident have been recovered, but three of the four lanes remain closed while a spill is cleaned up.
An article on the National Motorways website states: “All vehicles recovered on the M25 anti-clockwise between J17 Rickmansworth and J16, M40
“Three lanes (out of 4) remain closed and national highway service providers are working to clean up a spill.
“90-minute delays and seven miles of congestion on approach.”

What we know so far
Three lanes of the M25 southbound, anti-clockwise, were closed after a multi-vehicle crash at around 7am this morning.
Only one lane of four could be kept open and the latest information suggests seven miles of congestion towards the crash site and journey delays of an hour and a half.
National highway authorities said a truck had been removed from the highway, but footage showed a crashed van remained on the road.

In a latest article on X regarding the delays, National Highways said: “Lorry recovered on M25 anti-clockwise between J17 Rickmansworth and J16 M40.
“Recovery officers continue to work at the scene to recover the van involved with three lanes (out of 4) closed to facilitate.
“90-minute delays and seven miles of congestion on approach.”

State highway officials said at least five miles of congestion could be expected and delays of 45 minutes since the collision involving a truck and a van this morning.
