A 32-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot Friday morning in the West Side neighborhood of East Garfield Park, Chicago police said.
Around 11:15 a.m., the victim was outside in the 4300 block of West Van Buren Street when someone pulled out a gun and fired in his direction. The victim was transported in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital with two gunshot wounds to the lower abdomen.
Detectives were investigating.
