A person of interest was arrested Friday morning after carjacking a woman’s city vehicle in the River North neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Shortly after 8:15 a.m., a city employee was in the 300 block of East Chicago Avenue when she was approached by someone who demanded her city vehicle. She complied and the carjacker fled west on Chicago Avenue.
The city vehicle was recovered and a person of interest was arrested. Detectives are investigating.
