According to Sky Sports Germany, Nkunku’s representatives are ‘in contact’ with Manchester United about a potential deal this summer.
United are said to be leading the race to pick up the 24-year-old and an offer is expected ‘expected next week’.
Nkunku, who scored a staggering 54 goals in 50 games across all tournaments this season, is on contract with the club until 2024.

Nkunku caught the world’s attention by scoring a hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League in September, and he also scored against Bayern Munich, PSG and Borussia Dortmund.
The French national team player again made headlines this month when he scored a sensational volley against Rangers during Leipzig’s Europa League campaign.
Chelsea have registered an interest in buying Nkunku as they prepare for life without Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and possibly Cesar Azpilicueta.

Reports have, however, stated that RB Leipzig do not want to let Nkunku go ‘under any circumstances this summer’.
In addition, Nkunku has no exit clause in its contract, which allows Leipzig to reject all approaches – or demand the fee they want for the talented forward.
However, the club’s managing director, Oliver Mintzlaff, is happy to issue Nkunku with a release clause if he signs a new contract with the German team.
