Man United vs. Arsenal TV

The Premier League’s Christmas and New Year period, full of big games, is fast approaching – and with it a newer festive tradition – a host of games in a short time on Amazon’s Prime Video service. One of those fights? A meeting between two teams that have had ups and downs, by their very high standards, this season.

To say that Manchester United have experienced unpredictable form is an understatement. Their performances in all competitions – but especially defeats to Liverpool, Manchester City and Watford in the Premier League, which have left them in eighth place in the table – have cost club icon Ole Gunnar Solskjær his job because he is unable to bring his magic as plays to the managers’ bench.

Meanwhile, Ralf Rangnick has been appointed interim manager until the end of the season. Praised by people like Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp and Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel, Ralf will also stay at the club as a consultant for another two years.

However, Michael Carrick, who will stay at United according to BBC Sport, could take responsibility again on Thursday at Old Trafford if Ralph’s work visa is not approved in time.

After a difficult start to the 2021/22 season with defeats to Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City, Arsenal have now come in fifth place in the table. Their only Premier League loss since September has been to Liverpool, and last weekend they defeated bottom of the table Newcastle United (the only Premier League team still not to win a match this season) with goals from Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

Unfortunately, Bukayo had to come off the field not long after the goal, and according to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, he must have a scan and an injury assessment before Thursday night’s match.
