Man woken up by ‘very loud’ noise, unprepared for what doorbell camera reveals

In New Mexico, a man woken up in the middle of the night by “very loud” noises was shocked to discover the source of the ruckus.

Brooks Boyd, of Santa Fe, was awakened from his sleep around midnight by an unmistakable sound: mooing.

It wasn’t until he checked his phone that he discovered the full extent of the problem waiting for him on the porch.

In images shared with News week Near Ring, eight cows can be seen waiting on the porch in front of Boyd’s house. They may be blissfully unaware, but the big animals give off an intimidating vibe, like a gang of four-legged debt collectors come to collect Boyd’s unpaid milk bill.

All joking aside, although cows serve many purposes in our everyday lives, what is often overlooked is how intelligent they are. A 2017 study published in the journal Animal behavior and cognition sought to delve into the invisible complexities of the cow.

Through their study, the scientists behind the research learned how cows demonstrated the ability to quickly learn different tasks, possessed impressive long-term memory, could discover hidden objects, identify one human from another and evaluate other complex stimuli presented to them.

Brook Boyd was visited by seven cows. The animals had escaped from a neighboring farm.

This only scratches the surface of what cows are capable of, but it could partly explain how seven cows ended up in front of Boyd’s house.

Speaking to Ring about the cows’ nighttime visit, Brooks Boyd said, “They came from a ranch not far from my neighborhood and had escaped from a broken fence. A gate or fence had fallen due to a car accident and the livestock had escaped. »

“I heard the cows around midnight (we sleep with the windows open), they were mooing and it was very loud, that’s what woke me up.”

What’s interesting, from a scientific perspective, is that cows generally sleep soundly from dusk to dawn.

However, this particular group opposed this. Evidently, they discovered the hole in the fence and, rather than following their usual routine of going to bed, decided to head out to explore the local nightlife.

The move led them to Boyd’s door and resulted in hilarious footage captured by the security camera installed outside his home.

In the clip, a cow approaches the gate, followed by a full herd of seven others. For several moments, they can be seen sniffing the plants and the door, letting out audible moos throughout. They must have been looking to have fun and thought this was the perfect place. Instead, they found themselves at home, with the fence repaired and their landlord now watching them closely.

This isn’t the first time the unexpected arrival of a large animal outside a home has been captured on a Ring device.

In a recent incident, two deer swayed in front of a property in Pennsylvania to eat berries. There was also the time a large bear decided to swim in the backyard pond of a house in Reno. Another memorable sequence saw two moose leave a Washington homeowner terrified when they suddenly appeared on the property.
