Former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has called Paul Pogba ‘one of the best players in the world’ ahead of the Frenchman’s potential return to Juventus this summer.
The World Cup winner has announced that he will leave Manchester United for the second time when his contract expires on June 30 – ten years after he originally left the Red Devils to join Juventus.
With rumors starting to emerge about the Frenchman’s next destination, Szczesny has undertaken to talk the midfielder up ahead of the summer window.

When asked if he and his teammates would greet the Frenchman’s addition to the squad, Szczesny said according to The Sun: ‘I would be happy to see that happen. He did excellently in his previous time at Juventus, so he would be a great addition to the squad.
‘He is a player of good caliber and experience and he has fond memories of Turin.’
“Maybe the consistency of his game and the injuries have not helped United over the last few years. But when he is fit, he is still one of the best in the world.”
The Italian giants had signed Pogba, also on a free transfer, in 2012, when he failed to agree on terms at Old Trafford before the Premier League side bought him back for £ 89m. – only now to see him walk away without receiving a fee again.

The French midfielder won four Scudettos and two Coppa Italias during his time at Juventus
Pogba moved back to Old Trafford in 2016 with the hope that he could be the catalyst to take United back to the top of the Premier League.
But the Frenchman was unable to build on his impressive four Scuettos, two Coppa Italians and two Supercoppa Italians, which he had won in Italy – and won only one League Cup trophy during his six years in United.
Juventus are believed to be convinced to make the deal happen, but if things fall through, Paris Saint-Germain will remain on the wings, with other European giants Real Madrid and Manchester City also said to have been interested in the past.
Pogba goes from there with a loyalty bonus of £ 3.78 million when he leaves Manchester as a free agent at the end of the month.
