Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has previously described Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers as a “really good coach”, amid ongoing connections linking the Northern Irishman with Old Trafford.
Rodgers has been installed as the bookmakers’ favorite to replace United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær after four defeats in their last six Premier League matches.
United’s 2-0 defeat to rivals across the city of Manchester City before the international break sparked calls from a growing number of United supporters for a change in dugout, as their patience began to run fast.
After an excellent recruit during the summer transfer window, The Reds were tipped to be one of the leading candidates for the Premier League title this season.
