Wrapping up the Man Utd transfer news, rumours and gossip in the 2022 summer window.
Erik ten Hag says Cristiano Ronaldo is in his Manchester United plans for the season ahead.
The United boss said: “We are planning with Ronaldo for this season – that’s it. I’m looking forward to working with him.”
Asked if Ronaldo wants to leave, Ten Hag replied: “He hasn’t told me this. I have read, but as I say, Cristiano is not for sale, he’s in our plans and we want to get success together.
“I spoke with him before this issue came up. I had a conversation him and had a real good talk.”
Ten Hag: United searching for midfielders and forwards
Erik ten Hag confirmed Manchester United were still looking to do business in the transfer market with midfielders and forwards top of the list.
Sky Sports News was told last week that Man United and Barcelona have a “broad agreement” on a fee – believed to be €65m (£56m) plus performance-related add-ons – for Frenkie De Jong.
Ten Hag was not prepared to speak about specific targets but said: “Definitely we are searching for players in the midfield, and also in offence we are still looking for players.
“I never talk about players who are not under contract at Man United, players at different clubs. I cannot tell you anything about this issue.
“We want to have the right players. We have a really good squad, we’re working on developing our way of play and if the opportunity is there, we will strike.”
Cristiano Ronaldo will not be part of the United pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia, the club has confirmed.
The 37-year-old Portugal international has been granted additional time off to deal with a family issue and will not join Erik ten Hag and his squad on their tour of Thailand and Australia.
In regards to Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford, Sky Sports News understands United are willing to listen to offers for Ronaldo this summer, although the club’s public stance is he remains under contract for another season and is not for sale.
Tyrell Malacia has become the first signing of Erik ten Hag’s United reign after the left-back completed a £14.7m move from Feyenoord.
The 22-year-old has signed a four-year contract at Old Trafford, with the option to extend for a further year.
United agreed a package with the Eredivisie side last week worth around an initial £13m, with a further £1.7m in add-ons and a potential sell-on clause.
What attracted Ten Hag to sign Malacia?
Sky Sports News’ senior reporter Melissa Reddy:
“United fans have waited a while for this first signing of the Erik ten Hag era but the full-back is someone the manager knows very well. He scouted him quite heavily while he was at Ajax and United were quite smart and measured in how they took their time in waiting for Lyon and Feyenoord to agree a fee so they won’t over-quoted a price.
“Ten Hag feels Malacia will help United’s transitional game as he’s quite a rapid player with positional awareness and is very technically gifted. Malacia is schooled in Total Football so he’s comfortable in possession and solid out of it. United believe he is so far away from his ceiling and that he can really develop under Ten Hag.
“The player himself knows he’s coming to a gigantic club with lots of pressures and expectations but he knows about the manager’s demands.
Christian Eriksen has agreed in principle to join United on a free transfer.
United will now finalise a three-year contract for the 30-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Brentford.

Fulham’s £10m Pereira offer accepted deal
United have accepted a £10m offer from Fulham for midfielder Andreas Pereira.
The agreement has yet to be signed.
Pereira has not reported back for pre-season as he only played his final game on loan at Flamengo.
Nottingham Forest have signed United goalkeeper Dean Henderson on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old has joined the newly promoted side in search of regular first-team football, having flourished during previous loan spells at Sheffield United between 2018 and 2020.
The deal reportedly does not include an option to buy, with Steve Cooper’s side covering his wages for the duration of the loan.
