Marjorie Taylor Greene called comments made by Donald Trump ally Laura Loomer “appalling and extremely racist” and called for their retraction.
On September 8, Loomer shared a post from Vice President Kamala Harris referencing her Indian ancestry.
Loomer wrote: “If Kamala Harris wins, the White House will smell like curry and White House speeches will be facilitated by a call center and the American people will only be able to provide feedback through a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call that no one will understand.”
Commenting on Loomer’s post, Greene, a Republican representative from Georgia, wrote: “This is appalling and extremely racist. It does not represent who we are as Republicans or MAGA. It does not represent President Trump.
“This type of behavior should never be tolerated. Laura Loomer should take this down.”
On Wednesday, Loomer accompanied Trump on visits to Lower Manhattan and Pennsylvania to commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
