OAKLAND — A 24-year-old Modesto man is in critical condition after being shot Saturday in Oakland, police said.
Authorities are investigating the shooting that occurred around 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of East 18th Street and Sixth Avenue, authorities said. The victim, who was standing outside in the residential neighborhood, suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso, police said.
It was unclear how many suspects there were or what the motive was for the shooting, police said.
