Howard T. Brown Memorial Park hosted Norwich National Night Out Tuesday night.
There, community members had the opportunity to meet with members of the Norwich Police Department, who handed out hot dogs, soda and bags of chips.
Local organizations such as the Norwich Public Schools Family Resource Center, Norwich Bully Busters and the Black Dragon Martial Arts Academy were on hand to promote their businesses.
Magician Dean Davids entertained children and adults with his magic tricks. East Great Plain Volunteer Fire Department performed a vehicle extrication demonstration.

The event was organized by the Norwich Police Department and local donors. Norwich Police Chief Pat Daley said his department has been hosting the event for more than 20 years.
“It’s a great way to connect with the community,” Daley said of the National Night Out. “It allows us to meet people from a different perspective.”
