It is the “suspicious object” that triggered a security alert in west Belfast, forcing the evacuation of homes and the closure of several roads.
He has now been declared a hoax and has been taken away for what police describe as “further forensic examination”.
Police said in a statement that a controlled explosion was carried out on the object.

A police spokesman said: “A security alert in west Belfast has been lifted following the discovery of a suspicious item this morning, Sunday 14 July.”
PSNI Inspector Adams said: “Police received a report shortly before 8am that a suspicious item had been discovered outside a property in the Springfield Road area of the city.
“A public safety operation was implemented, involving the closure of roads in the surrounding area and the evacuation of a number of homes.
“Ammunition technicians were dispatched to the scene and a controlled explosion was carried out on the object, which has now been declared a hoax.
“He has since been taken away for further forensic examination.”
The PSNI inspector continued: “All cordons have since been lifted and residents are returning to their homes.
“We understand the disruption this incident has caused to road users and the public, and I would like to thank everyone affected for their patience and cooperation while the scene was made safe.
“An investigation is ongoing and I would ask anyone with information in relation to this incident to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 360 of 14/07/24.”
