Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the assassination attempt on a 20-year-old woman in Ilford.
The victim was “seriously assaulted” on Nov. 4 around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of Clarence Avenue and The Crescent in Gants Hill, police said.
As a result, the 20-year-old suffered a neck injury.
Police arrested a 24-year-old man suspected of attempted murder the next day.
He has since been charged and remains in custody, according to Met.

Detective Chloe James, from the East Area Command, said: “I know there were a number of Good Samaritans who came to the victim’s aid the night this incident took place, and I’m very keen to hear from these people.
“No matter how insignificant you think your information may be, do not hesitate to contact us.”
