Ravens All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton leaves game with scary non-contact injury

UPDATE:

Hamilton has been ruled out with an ankle injury.

Baltimore Ravens All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton left the game with what appears to be a non-contact leg injury. While attempting to make a tackle in the second quarter, Hamilton’s leg twisted in the turf and he immediately fell to the ground.

Hamilton was then shown leaving the field under his own power and headed straight to the blue medical tent.

Hamilton appeared to be in a lot of pain before leaving the field. After remaining on the field for a few moments, he left to be examined by medical staff.

The good news is that the second quarter was about to end, so Hamilton could have more time to rest during the half and could possibly get back into the game. However, the way his ankle twisted didn’t look like something small.

Best case scenario, Hamilton has just suffered a minor incident and can be registered and rejoin his team. Worst case scenario, this injury will knock him out of the game and sideline him for an overtime.

The Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals face off Thursday night in a very important division game. Baltimore is trying to secure its seventh victory of the season and first place in the AFC North.

The Bengals are trying to continue to bounce back from their season with a fifth victory. After a rough 1-5 start to the season, the team is now 3-1 in their last four outings.

Most of the AFC North is competitive and the Bengals will need to start winning more games to stay relevant in their division and the AFC overall.

The Ravens losing Hamilton for this game will be difficult enough to deal with, but losing him for extra time will be detrimental to Baltimore’s defense.

A further report from the match reporter indicated that Hamilton is now doubtful to return for the match and his ankle is being examined.

Hamilton has already been on fire in 2024, making 67 total tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and five passes defensed. The All-Pro safety is one of the best safeties in the game, and his exclusion is sure to make it more difficult for Baltimore to stop Joe Burrow’s passing attack.

More details will be revealed about Hamilton’s injury, so stay tuned Newsweek Sports to stay up to date on this and all Ravens news.
