Ashley Darby and Michael Darby are finally making their separation official two years after announcing their separation.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the “Real Housewives of Potomac” star, 36, filed for divorce from the Australian businessman, 65, on Wednesday.
Michael told TMZ, which first reported the news, that the couple had already reached “an amicable and fair settlement” with the help of a prenup.
According to the media, the two men agreed to share custody of their sons Dean, 5, and Dylan, 3.
The Bravolebrity announced that she and Michael were separating after eight years of marriage in April 2022.
“People are quick to assume that the causes are too much intrusion of reality TV into the most personal aspects of our lives, age gap issues, cultural issues or differences in raising children ” she wrote in a statement to “The Daily Dish.” ” at the time.
The reality star added, “Elements of all of this may have affected our pure love for each other, but there is no single reason behind our mutual decision to separate.”
Ashley explained that she and her ex-husband were at “very different stages” in life and had “very different goals.”
“We both want the other to achieve true happiness and fulfillment and feel we can’t do it together,” she added.
Earlier this month, Ashely opened up on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” about the “depression” she’s been dealing with since her split from Michael.
“It’s hard here, okay? I wish I could put a time stamp on it like everyone wants in relation to this divorce. It’s so emotional for me. It’s about grieving,” she said.
“I even went through a little depression thinking about where my life was right now versus where I thought it was going to be and accepting that.”
The former pageant queen briefly dated “Summer House” star Luke Gulbranson for a few months in 2022 when she decided to move on from Michael.
In October 2022, the two were seen flirting at BravoCon, but had broken off their romance by January.
“Really, we kind of grew apart,” she told Page Six during a live taping of “Virtual Reali-Tea” in September 2023, explaining that her recent breakup with Michael also drove them apart .
