The Boston Red Sox are finalizing a massive contract extension with manager Alex Cora, according to multiple reports. The deal is expected to be a three-year deal paying him more than $7 million per season, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
The Red Sox are in the midst of a surprising 54-46 season and are firmly in the hunt for the American League Wild Card. They are also just six games behind the Baltimore Orioles for first place in the American League East.
