No one was injured in the crash on Sycamore Street.
A runaway container truck crashed into a utility pole in Somerville Friday morning, pushing a car into a nearby home and knocking out power to dozens of residents.
No one was injured in the crash, which happened shortly before 11 a.m. on Sycamore Street, 7 News Boston reported. The impact snapped the power pole in two. Emergency crews blocked off the area after the crash to restore power, the report said.
NBC Boston reported that emergency responders examined the driver, who did not require medical attention.
Eversource said on its outage map that 48 Somerville customers were still without power as of 4 p.m. Friday.
Somerville police have not released details about what caused the crash or whether charges are expected.
