Nuclear-capable missile launch systems have been deployed on “combat patrol routes” in Russia, the country’s state media reported.

The TASS news agency has released video of what it says are the Yars intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch systems being deployed at the Novosibirsk complex in Siberia.

The agency said teams were checking the “readiness” of personnel and equipment “for long-term service in the field.”

According to military and defense specialist media Army Recognition, the Yars RS-24 is a Russian mobile nuclear missile that can travel between 1,200 and 7,500 miles with a precision range of 250 meters.

This is a developing story.
