HOUSTON– Texas attorney Tony Buzbee said Tuesday he represents 120 accusers who have made new allegations of sexual misconduct against Sean “Diddy” Combs, the hip-hop mogul awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges at the federal.
Houston-based Buzbee said he expects lawsuits to be filed within the next month. Buzbee described the victims as 60 men and 60 women, and that 25 were minors at the time of the alleged misconduct.
“It’s shocking. Our youngest victim at the time of the incident was nine years old. We have an individual who was 14 years old,” Buzbee said during a press conference Tuesday. “The behavior in question extends from 1991 to this year 2024. If you’re wondering why there are so many alleged victims. There’s your answer. We’re talking over 25 years of this type of behavior.”
Buzbee said most of the alleged events and incidents occurred at parties “usually after parties or album release parties, New Year’s parties, Fourth of July parties, something they call the ‘puppy party’, ‘all white party'”.
“Some of this behavior occurred in well-known locations in New York City,” Buzbee said. “Some of this behavior occurred in the private residences of people we all know. Some of this behavior occurred in hotels that we all know. It should be noted that more than 55% of the victims filed reported this behavior either to the authorities, i.e. the police or hospitals.
After the news conference in Texas, a lawyer for Combs said the entertainer “could not address all of the baseless allegations in what has become a reckless media circus.”
“That said, Mr. Combs categorically and emphatically denies as false and defamatory any assertion that he sexually abused anyone, including minors,” attorney Erica Wolff said in a statement. “He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court if and when complaints are filed and served, where the truth will be established based on evidence and not speculation.”
Combs, 54, has been incarcerated at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center since pleading not guilty Sept. 17 to federal charges that he used his “power and prestige” to induce female victims to engage in sexual assault. drugged and elaborate sexual performances with men. sex workers during events called “Freak Offs”.
Buzbee also represented women who accused NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson of sexual assault.
Other alleged victims have already filed lawsuits against Combs that include allegations of sexual assault.
Combs has pleaded not guilty to federal racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges. His lawyer said he was innocent and would fight to clear his name. Combs is detained in tBrooklyn Federal Detention Center until his trial.
