Severe storms and tornadoes swept through Oklahoma early Sunday, causing injuries and widespread power outages, authorities said.
Severe weather caused damage in the Oklahoma City area, where at least six people were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, said Capt. Valerie Littlejohn of the Oklahoma Police Department. Oklahoma City.
The damage included downed power lines, gas lines, trees and traffic lights, Littlejohn said. Local television reports showed overturned cars, downed trees and power lines and damaged homes.
