One person is dead and two others injured after a shooting in the Vancouver Mall food court in Vancouver, Washington, Thursday evening and the suspect is on the run, police said.
Portland, Ore., CBS affiliate KOIN-TV reports that authorities believe the shooter was still “possibly armed.”
Police said they responded to a report of a shooting around 7:30 p.m. local time and found one person who had been killed and the other two injured. These two were taken to an area hospital. It is not yet known the extent of their injuries.
In posts on inside the mall. … Anyone who is sheltering in place inside the mall can exit through any open exit.
In a statement, police added that no other injuries had been reported.
“Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crimes Team are reviewing video taken inside the mall to attempt to identify the suspect,” police said.
