Sky vs. Fever WNBA game in Chicago is one of the hottest tickets in town – NBC Chicago

Following the WBNA’s draft of star player Angel Reese, the Chicago Sky have become one of the city’s hottest sports teams – and one of the most sought-after games of the year is taking place this week.

On Friday at 6:30 p.m., the Sky will face Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever at Wintrust Arena. According to ticket sales platform StubHub, this matchup is the Sky’s “best-selling game” for the remainder of their 2024-25 season.

The Sky’s best-selling ticket was for its Chicago game against the Fever on June 23, Stubhub said.

A few seats are still available for the big game, with Ticketmaster listing prices starting at $146 and $125 on Stubhub.

Courtside seats for Friday’s Sky vs. Fever game could cost as much as $3,500, according to Ticketmaster.

The big game comes just after Sky unveiled its new mascot, Skye the Lioness. According to the team, the lioness was chosen to “embody strength, feminine power, grace and the courage to overcome obstacles.”

The team’s current mascot, Sky Guy, who debuted in 2006, will continue to appear at games through the end of the season.

In the WNBA standings, the Sky currently sit in eighth place with 11 wins and 19 losses. The Indiana Fever, in seventh place, have 15 wins and 16 losses.
