The rapper and media personality took center stage in his signature black sunglasses and Team USA tracksuits, chatting with everyone from Simone Biles to Martha Stewart.
Throughout the Games, he provided regular reporting to host network NBC. This is Snoop’s second time working on the Olympic circuit, following his role as Olympic correspondent at the Tokyo Games.
Ahead of this year’s festivities, the global star said in a statement: “I’ll be bringing that Snoop style to the mix.”
He certainly delivered on his promises. The 52-year-old rapper’s humorous comments and one-of-a-kind Snoop energy set the internet ablaze, with videos of his Olympic appearances quickly going viral.
It’s hard to pick them all, but here are some of Snoop’s most memorable moments so far.
Olympic Torchbearer
Snoop started strong as one of the torchbearers for Team USAThe rap icon was one of the last people to carry the Olympic flame before it reached its final destination at the opening ceremony of the Paris Games. At 1.93 m (6 ft 4 in), he easily stood out in the crowd. On his way to pass the flame, he treated fans to the Crip Walk, one of his signature moves.
Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles dance to victory
Match them multiple gold medalist gymnast Simone Biles with Snoop, and only good things can happen.
Biles and teammate Jordan Chiles were caught dancing with Snoop Dogg during the women’s gymnastics Olympic qualifiers. Once the gymnasts spotted him in the crowd, there was no turning back: the two did their best moves. The interaction quickly went viral.
Snoop also showed his support for Biles at the stadium with a custom T-shirt featuring the Olympian.
Badminton Jokes
An intense badminton exchange between the United States and China attracted thousands of eyes thanks to Snoop’s colorful commentary.
“They rock and roll. Back and forth. Give me that. No, I need that. No here. No there,” he can be heard saying in a now-viral clip that has been liked by more than 340,000 TikTok users.
Snoop and Martha Stewart Wear Matching Equestrian Outfits
Snoop and Martha Stewart took their friendship to a whole new level during a dressage match, when they showed up in matching outfits consisting of riding boots, white pants, black blazers and helmets.
The two became friends more than a decade ago after Snoop Dogg appeared on Stewart’s cooking show, and since then they’ve done everything from game shows to appearing in Super Bowl commercials together.
During the dressage test, where riders maneuver their horses through a series of movements, the two laughed as Snoop composed a rap to accompany one of the horse’s sideways movements.
Go swimming with Michael Phelps
Legendary Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps may not be active, but he’s still swimming laps, most recently with Snoop. The two were spotted swimming together in a video released by NBC. In the video, Snoop is wearing a black cap that says “Phelps” on the front.
“Mike, you make it look too easy,” he says in the clip.
A visit to the Louvre
Snoop Dogg was caught “snooping” at the Louvre Museum in Paris in a TikTok video posted to the rapper’s account on Friday. “Have you seen ‘Night at the Museum’ yet?” Snoop asks. “Well, tonight you’re going to the museum with Snoop Dogg.”
In this one-minute clip, Snoop walks through the empty halls of the Louvre, commenting on the works in the museum’s vast collection.
During one of his stops, the rapper catches a brief glimpse of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, whose eyes are known to follow his admirers everywhere.
“I just found out I’m Mona Lisa’s twin brother, Tony Lisa,” Snoop says.
