Yosemite’s Tioga Pass, at 9,943 feet, has a 43 percent chance of getting 0.1 inch of snow, the agency’s office in Hanford said.
The summit of Mount Rose, Carson Pass near Kirkwood, and Monitor and Sonora passes are also high enough to accommodate a trace of snow. The chance of precipitation is about 40% Friday and Saturday.
Highs in South Lake Tahoe are expected to drop from 70 degrees Fahrenheit Tuesday and Wednesday to 50 degrees Fahrenheit Friday. The lake’s low is expected to be near freezing Friday night, according to the weather service. The forecast for Saturday is calling for a few degrees warmer.
