A 37-year-old man has been killed in a car crash in South Ayrshire.
Emergency services were called to the B7035 Girvan at Dailly Road in Girvan at around 7.30pm on Saturday to an incident involving a green Land Rover Defender.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed the road for almost 12 hours while investigations continued, with the road reopening around 7.45am on Sunday.
Officers are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Sergeant Brian Simpson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time.
“Our inquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the accident and has not yet spoken to officers to contact us.
“I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area at the time and who may have dashcam footage or may have seen the car prior to the crash to contact us.”
