Keir Starmer’s chief of staff Sue Gray has been accused of “subverting” cabinet ministers over the negotiation of a £310m bailout for the Casement Park redevelopment.
According to the Times, Ms Gray – who ran a pub in Newry during the Troubles – angered government officials and ministers by “personally dominating” discussions over a plan to save the dilapidated stadium in west Belfast.
