A year after one of the deadliest wildfires in U.S. history, Maui survivors are struggling to recover. The wildfires killed at least 102 people and destroyed scores of homes and businesses across the island. In Lahaina, crews have cleared about 95 percent of the 2,200 structures that were destroyed, but only 47 building permits have been approved.
