Taylor Swift Appears to Miss Chiefs Game for First Time of 2024 Season

Taylor Swift didn’t appear to make the trip to Atlanta to watch Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Falcons in their Week 3 game on Sunday night.

Swift had attended the Chiefs’ first two games this season. Both games ended in victories and were played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Swift was in a suite for both games, in which the Chiefs held on to win.

On Sunday night, the Chiefs were on the road. Swift was in attendance for the Chiefs’ road game last season against the New York Jets, but the circumstances were much different back then. Swift also followed the Chiefs on their Super Bowl run and played in Super Bowl 58 despite being on the road.

Swift was notably absent, as the pomp and ceremony of her entrance into the Mercedes-Benz Stadium did not take place before kick-off.

Kelce has struggled to get going on offense. In two games, he has four receptions for 39 yards.

He faced criticism from ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith earlier this week.

“I love my brother Travis Kelce, but we saw more Taylor Swift than Travis Kelce yesterday, on a Sunday afternoon,” Smith said last week after the Chiefs’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals. “This wasn’t supposed to happen. We were supposed to see more Travis Kelce yesterday than we did her.”

“But it’s not. You gotta get going, you got 39 receiving yards in the first two games. Come on, now. Football season is here. The honeymoon is over. Let’s just go about our business, okay.”
