A teenager was stabbed in the head in a horrific attack in Tameside. The victim was on a street in Ashton-under-Lyne when the incident happened.
GMP confirmed that an 18-year-old was knifed in the back of the head last night. He was taken to hospital but discharged this morning.
The attack was on Blandford Street near the town center. Police said no arrests have been made so far. Inquiries are ongoing.
The incident came on the same night that a boy was stabbed in Sale. In that case the victim was seriously injured after being attacked when a row erupted at a children’s birthday party.
Locals heard “screaming” and said they saw dozens of people in the street moments before the attack in Baguley Lane, Sale, on Saturday evening.

One resident said a dispute erupted outside a home in nearby Royton Avenue, where a birthday party was being held for a child. The victim, who locals said was in his early teens, was then knifed in nearby Baguley Lane and left with a serious stab wound.
A neighbor, who asked not to be named, said he saw “at least 60 to 70 people” in Royton Avenue shortly before the stabbing happened at 10.25pm. In 2017 young dad, Michael Grimshaw, 34, was fatally knifed in the neck in Royton Avenue. Tyrone Patrick, 33, was later jailed for life after being convicted of his murder, and must serve aa minimum of 26 years nine months.
