Travis Kelce’s Dad Explains Why He Thinks He Was Banned From X

Ed Kelce, the father of Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce, has further explained his claim that he was banned from social media platform X.

Kelce first made the revelation on Facebook over the weekend. He also explained Sunday why he believes he won’t be allowed back on the social media platform.

“Let me try to clarify something here,” he wrote on his account. “I’m rarely on Facebook or Instagram. I get Google alerts in my email about articles mentioning the boys and I post them remotely on Facebook for my friends and family to see. I posted the article about gun runners being active on X because, frankly, I was pissed off by Elon’s trolls.”

“I rarely wrote anything about X; I just followed the sportswriters. It’s handy during games to hear what these guys have to say, especially in stadiums where you don’t have commentators like you do on TV.

“I was active on X/Twitter from September to February, reading other people’s posts. Apparently X Twits think I posted something against their rules in May or June 2023. It never happened. I guess I got hacked, because the platform is not that secure. My comments when I started this conversation were only meant to highlight the hypocrisy of these social media morons.”

To kick off the conversation, he shared an article based on a report from the Times of London that claimed arms dealers in the war-torn country were selling weapons on X and appeared to be doing business in the capital of Sanaa – territory controlled by the Houthis.

Kelce shared the article on his Facebook page.

“Arms dealers are free to sell their wares on X, but I’m banned for life and they won’t say why, just a generic ‘Terms of Service’ violation,” he wrote.

X did not comment on the report to the Times of London.

Kelce is apparently an active Facebook user, as Travis revealed on an episode of “Bussin’ with the Boys” in June. Travis talked about how his dad views rumors and false Facebook posts about him and Taylor Swift. At least, Kelce said, his dad checks in on him to make sure everything is going well at home.

“You know what he’s going to do? He’s going to see some crazy stuff happen and he’s going to be like, ‘What the hell is going on?'” the three-time Super Bowl champion said. “It’s going to be something so unexpected, something about Taylor and I, that he’s going to be like, ‘Hey, what the … are you guys OK?'”

“I said, ‘Dad, get off Facebook, Dad. Are you kidding me?’ It’s his search engine.”
