Former President Donald Trump will announce his vice presidential pick on Monday, he told Fox This Morning.
Trump has long floated the name of his running mate and has yet to reveal who it is or comment specifically on who is being strongly considered. Sources close to the Trump campaign previously told the Post that Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum were his top contenders, along with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
His announcement coincides with the first day of the Republican National Convention, and comes two days after a gunman shot Trump in the ear at a rally in Pennsylvania, nearly missing his head.
