‘Person declared dead on the spot’ – British Transport Police
British transport police have confirmed that a person died tragically after the incident.
A spokesman said: “The British Transport Police were called to Turnham Green Underground Station at 14.09 today (November 16) following reports of a rail damage.
“Paramedics also attended, but unfortunately one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a case will be prepared for the forensic pathologist.”
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service added: “We were called at 14.07 today (November 16) for reports of a person being injured by a train at Turnham Green Station.
“We sent an ambulance team, a clinical team leader, an incident manager and an emergency team in dangerous areas. We also sent a London air ambulance.
– Unfortunately, someone died on the spot.
