Two people were seriously injured in a shooting in a Palm Springs neighborhood Monday evening.
The Palm Springs Police Department responded at 11:59 p.m. to the 1500 block of San Rafael Drive on the north end of the city. Officers found two victims, who were seriously injured, but were reported to be in stable condition.
A third person was also present, but was not injured, police said in a statement.
Several shots were fired, according to police. A nearby residence was hit, but none of the occupants, including children, were injured.
Police said they were investigating the incident as an attempted murder. They did not announce any arrests, nor did they say whether detectives had any suspects.
