Two teenagers were seriously injured in a shooting Saturday night in the city’s Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side, Chicago police said.
The boys, ages 15 and 17, were near the entrance of a residence in the 4800 block of South Winchester Avenue just after 6 p.m. when a person in a vehicle drove by and opened fire, police said.
The 15-year-old was shot in the abdomen, while the 17-year-old was shot in the arm and armpit. Both victims were taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition, police said.
Detectives investigated and no arrests have been made, police said.
