Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is in Raleigh on Friday to discuss her plans to support the economy and prevent rising prices.
This is Harris’ eighth visit to North Carolina this year.
The Democratic presidential candidate and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, were scheduled to travel to Raleigh as part of a tour of key states. But they were forced to postpone their visit because of Tropical Storm Debby.
Her visit Friday comes just days before the Democratic National Convention, where she and Walz will present their agenda to the country. It’s been less than a month since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and Harris won the nomination, where she will face the Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump.
