A video of Travis Kelce leaving Taylor Swift’s Eras tour while being followed by a film crew has gone viral, reinforcing theories that the pop superstar is filming a documentary about her record-breaking tour.
The singer-songwriter kicked off the final leg on October 18, after first embarking on the tour in March 2023. A lot has happened since the beginning, as Swift lost two Taylor’s version re-recordings of his albums – 2010s Speak Now and 2014 1989—as well as his brand new 11th studio album, The Department of Tortured Poets. The Eras Tour also became the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.
Swift is also reportedly recording a tell-all documentary about the Eras Tour explaining how the 149 shows were created. Now, a video of Kelce spending his Saturday night watching his girlfriend perform her second show in Indianapolis has gained traction online, with people sharing their theories about the documentary potential.
News week emailed a Swift spokesperson for comment after-hours Monday.
Ancient The bachelorette Star Ali Manno née Fedotowsky shared a video on her Instagram Story of Kelce walking past her while she was at the show and being filmed while he did so. Every time the Kansas City Chiefs attend the Eras tour, he leaves the audience early so he can greet Swift as she leaves the stage.
“Travis Kelce just walked past Molly and I. And yes, the song means we lasted until the very end!” Manno wrote on his video while Swift sang “Karma” in the background. “The Goins stay until the end to support our daughter.”
The clip has since been shared by two different accounts on X (formerly Twitter) and one of the posts has gone viral.
The video was shared by the X account Taylor Swift Updates who wrote in the caption: “Travis Kelce leaves the show while being followed by a film crew!” As of this writing, it has been viewed over 531,000 times.
User @kait518 also shared the video, and on both posts, fans speculated that the cameras meant Kelce was being recorded for the documentary.
“The film crew is stressing me out but I tell myself it’s for a documentary coming out in December,” one person wrote.
“I can’t wait to see the BTS documentary [behind the scenes] This is going to be so fascinating to see,” said another.
“IT’S ACTUALLY TORTURE I WANT THE DOCUMENTARY NOW #greedy,” a third person posted.
A fourth added: “THE CAMERA OH TAYCUMENTARYYY. »
“I’m trembling, my God [oh my God] It happens,” someone else commented.
This isn’t the only clip of Kelce at Saturday’s concert that went viral, as a video on TikTok showed the tight end smiling and dancing to “So High School” alongside Swift’s mother, Andrea Swift. At the time of writing, the video has been viewed over 401,400 times.
According to media reports, in addition to documenting the tour, the pop superstar will also discuss her experience dealing with traumatic events on the road. There was the Southport stabbing attack in England, which saw two children die and nine others injured – six seriously – during a Swift-themed children’s yoga and dance class.
In a statement on Instagram, Swift said she was “completely in shock”, writing: “The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport continually washes over me… It was just little kids watching to a dance class. always convey my sympathies to these families.
The documentary would also address the foiled terrorist plot that forced her to cancel three shows in Vienna, Austria. Security at the shows was increased after a 19-year-old was arrested in Ternitz, about an hour south of Vienna, and a second person was arrested in the Austrian capital. However, event organizer Barracuda Music later canceled the concerts, saying “we have no choice but to cancel all three planned shows for everyone’s safety.”
Swift took to Instagram to express her devastation over the cancellations and her gratitude to authorities, writing: “Thanks to them, we mourned concerts not lives.”
The Eras Tour will continue until December 8, when it ends in Vancouver, Canada.
