Senator JD Vance, Republican vice-presidential candidate, closed the first and only debate against his Democratic counterpart, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, by criticizing the policies implemented under the Biden administration.
The Ohio senator said in his final debate statement: hosted by CBS Newsthat he believes all Americans should be able to meet their basic needs like heat, shelter and food.
“I believe that whether you are rich or poor, you should be able to provide a good meal for your family. This has become more difficult because of Kamala Harris’s policies. I believe that whether you are rich or poor, you should have the ways to buy a home, you should be able to live in safe neighborhoods, you shouldn’t have your communities flooded with fentanyl, and that too has become more difficult because of Kamala Harris’ policies,” he said.
Vance said Harris has many policies she would like to implement on her first day in office, but “she’s been vice president for three and a half years.”
“Day one was 1,400 days ago and his policies made these problems worse,” Vance said.
He warned that viewers won’t be able to achieve the American dream if they elect Harris as president in November.
“We need change. We need new leadership. We need a president who has done it once before and done it well. Please vote for Donald Trump ” he said.
