Vice President Kamala Harris’ first video addressed to her supporters after the election stunned social media users Tuesday.
The video, shared by the Democratic Party’s official X account, showed Harris speaking directly to supporters discouraged by the recent election.
“I just have to remind you, don’t let anyone take your power from you. You have the same power you had before November 5, and you have the same purpose. And you have the same capacity for commitment. And get inspired , so never let anyone or any circumstance take away your power,” Harris said.
Many X users were excited about Harris’ appearance in the video, commenting on how there seemed to be something “weird” with the vice president and expressing surprise that it was shared publicly.

The video reportedly comes from a call Harris had with donors and volunteers earlier in the day, during which she discussed her election loss for the first time since conceding to President-elect Donald Trump.
“The outcome of this election is obviously not what we wanted. It’s not what we worked so hard for. But I’m proud of the race we ran, and your role in it has “What we did in 107 days was unprecedented,” Harris said.
Harris has stayed out of the spotlight since the election and has been vacationing in Hawaii with second gentleman Doug Emhoff since last week.
