Woman, 23, who spat on man in custody after shooting him during argument Wednesday morning on CTA Red Line – Chicago Tribune

A 23-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday morning after she spat and then injured a man she was arguing with on the CTA Red Line, Chicago police said.

Police say a 33-year-old man was a passenger on the CTA Red Line in the 1000 block of West Argyle Street around 8:40 p.m. when the woman approached him and spat on the victim and an argument broke out. is followed. The woman pulled out a gun during the argument and shot the victim in the left shoulder, police said.

The victim was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was listed in fair condition, police said.

The woman was taken into custody and a weapon was found at the scene, police said.

Detectives were investigating.
